Manners To Parents

Being filial to parents is a noble attitude that is highly emphasized in Islamic teachings and in social life. Parents are figures who have struggled with great sacrifice since before we were born, raising, educating, and showering unconditional love. Therefore, being filial to parents (birrul walidain) is a child's primary obligation and is a deed deeply loved by Allah SWT. One of the main etiquettes of being filial to parents is speaking politely and gently. A child should not shout, raise their voice, or even speak harshly to their parents. Even in situations of disagreement, children should maintain a careful tone of voice, show respect, and demonstrate humility. Kind and respectful speech is a reflection of noble character.
